Very unimpressed September 24, 2008
I am not a moron. I have installed software, specifically virus software, many times before. I have also uninstalled software many times before. I TEACH CLASSES on how to install and uninstall software.
The iolo antivirus software refused to load, claiming there was a conflicting software on my computer. I did have a Panda antivirus file on my computer. So I uninstalled it. Iolo said it was still on there. I ran a search on my entire computer, including hidden files, nothing was on there. I rebooted several times. It was gone. Yet Iolo refused to download, claiming it was still on the computer. I called Tech Support (their tech support is 9-5 Pacific time. I'm Eastern time, and I work late, so I had to call about five times before getting a hold of anyone. I did send an email, but I never got a response. When I was able to talk to a very nice gentleman with a very heavy Indian accent, he informed me I had to call Panda up. WTF? My problem is not with Panda. My problem is with the Iolo software which would not load onto my computer.
And of course I can't return it (I did not buy it through Amazon.) Only good news is that it had a rebate which covered the cost of the item, so I didn't lose any money. Just time. Here's a warning for you in case you were going to buy it without a rebate: Keep looking. Get something else.
