Amazon.com Product Description As you surf the Internet, your browser stores the contents of Web pages you visit on your hard drive, and Web sites place cookies on your hard drive to track your movements. Internet Cleanup restores your privacy by removing your data trail and all programs that record where you surf on the Internet. You can clean all your Internet files with one easy click with the Auto-Erase Wizard, and Auto-Erase Scheduler runs Auto-Erase automatically at browser shutdown, system startup or shutdown, or any time you specify. The Shredder feature ensures that even the most sophisticated data recovery software cannot recover erased files. And since not all cookies are bad, you can save certain cookies but delete the rest using your keep list. The History Erase Wizard lets you remove URLs of Web sites you have visited, while the Cache Erase Wizard lets you easily remove any cached files that you no longer want stored on your computer. With the ActiveX Erase Wizard, any ActiveX controls that you no longer want on your system can be removed. Remove plug-ins you no longer want with the Plugin Erase Wizard.
Product Description Surfing the Internet leaves behind a trail of data and tracking devices that can expose your Internet activities. Web sites can build profiles about you from where you've been surfing on the Internet. Protect your Internet privacy with Internet Cleanup.

Newest Features February 13, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you're looking for online privacy, make sure to get the updated 2.0 version.
This software helps manage your cache, internet history, cookies, etc. It's a convenient program, but it's not a huge deal - there's no real secret to keeping track of these things. Plus, there's nothing in my internet history I necessarily need to hide.
This program has a huge list of about 25 functions that it performs. All of them are nice, but nothing special... except for three. And frankly I don't think this company realizes that it accidentally struck gold. These three features are HUGE advantages, and they are listed last on the box:
(1) The big bonuses are in the updated 2.0 version. First, it will identify and remove *anything* it interprets at spyware - including: worms, trojans, hijakcs, adware, malware, etc. This is an incredible feature. This little program does more than my Norton Anti-virus and McAffee Virus Scan combined. In fact, I used to have separate programs checking for worms, trojans, and adware. But this little program now does it all.
(2) Also, if you use Internet Explorer, it has a feature that monitors your Active-X settings. Also a huge plus - this is how so many of the worms, trojans, etc., sneak in. I got a terribly vicious hijack through an Active-X exploit while using the Windows Media Player - it took about 20 hours to remove it. I wish I had this program a year ago!
(3) It will monitor which programs, files, & folders are being accessed, called up, or changed by internet programs. Often times, a virus or hijack will get into a program and change it (or even disable your anti-virus software). But not while On-Track is running.
Good News October 17, 2002 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Well, the good news is that it works just fine outside of AOL. I use standard dial-up ISP's with Internet Explorer and Netscape. Internet Cleanup does what it claims. It cleans history and cache and cookies. Like the previous reviewer, I agree that it is easy to install and configure. One feature that I like is that cookies that I want to keep are easily "locked" and are skipped over during cookie cleaning.
Not for AOL Users July 13, 2002 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased On-Track Internet Cleanup Version 2.0 and found it easy to install and very easy to configure. My first test was to check to see if it cleaned up my internet track while on AOL version 7.0. It did not. All of my history is very much intact.Customer Service was very responsive via e-mail and suggested trying various options outside the program. When these failed to fix the problem they forwarded me to second level service which then suggested I contact AOL 7.0. If I had known that this product doesn't work with AOL, I would have purchased it.
