I am a home software tech, and test most every registry fixer... that gets good reviews.
WinCleaner didn't pass...!
Most are too aggressive and REALLY mess up your system (I then quickly restore full system with Acronis True Image "9" (only, read my review!))!
WinCleaner hardly found anything on my dirty... system (21)- Save your money!
For general SAFE freeware registry... cleaning- "CCleaner & EasyCleaner" (found 79) are GREAT!
For general SAFE freeware file cleaning (literally usually deletes thousands of old useless files!)- "Cleanup" is a proven favorite!
For more thorough registry/file... cleaning i.e. Like getting rid of all traces of old AV/firewall... program, XP!- I have safely used Fix-it Utilities "6" (found 229) Utilities ONLY! READ my review!)).
1. THOROUGH Uninstall Procedure- Disable..., uninstall pgm(add/remove), RESTART. Delete entire folder (make sure that all pgms inside were first deleted/restart...), Cleanup, RESTART (not ALL... gone until restart!).
2. Fix-it "One Stop Solutions/ their cleanup (VERY THOROUGH on removing remnants...!)". Cleanup, RESTART.
3. Fix-it "Fix", "Registry Fixer". Delete green/yellow (VERY careful on red!), keep rerunning (slow, back...) until clean. RESTART!
Now you can install your new... (first disable all anti...).
 This is the best utility I have used September 8, 2004
Ultra WinCleaner One-Click cleaned up my system by removing all of the junk. It only took a few minutes to work and did not need to be installed on the system to be used. The only guy who had problems must have had a system full of spyware when he tried to use it.

I confess, I have owned this product for years, and should have told the world how great it is. It is simply wonderful! I also own "professional" products, but they don't keep my machine working as well as this product does!It keeps the registry (the core of the OS) running smoothly, and offers other functions which keep the computer running smoothly. I have several computers, and have used this product to keep them all running smoothly. Corrupted, or obsolete, registry entries can really slow doen a machine, but this cleans up the mess, and doesn't require a PhD to run. If you don't own it, get it. I have used it on Win98SE, Win ME, win XP home, and Win XP Pro, and it has helped on each version of windows.

This is a great value and it works well. I ran this on my machine and instantly my computer was running quicker. The one-click is easy enough to use for a novice, but it allows you more specific options. The only part that is not so impressive is the uninstall function that doesn't seem to do much more than interface with Window's existing uninstall panel.Good easy to use product.

The product is great, and now that I have the Users' Manual, it is even better. This is the first product of it's kind that actually does what it says it will. Even an "amature" like myself can clean up a hard drive with this product. Thanks.
