| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Watch movies anytime and anywhere you want with Sony's cool DVP-FX820 Portable DVD Player. With a 6-hour battery life, an 8" high-resolution swivel screen that provides a clear and crisp picture from any angle, 2 headphone jacks for sharing, and a car adapter that ensures your movies outlast even the longest road trip. And when you want more than movies, the FX820 plays your CDs or MP3s, and lets you view your personal photo albums. Control buttons are located on the screen bezel for ease of use. Skipping or fast forwarding a scene is so easy to do, either with the control buttons or with the dual-sensor remote control. This portable DVD player is so lightweight and compact that you can carry it anywhere you go. Though it is designed for adults, its durability is certainly built for kids.

Class 1M Radiation December 3, 2008 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this because it looked high quality, then at the back of the DVD player when i took it out of the box says it has Class 1M radiation. They don't put that on the retail box, because it would lose money, but they put it on the bottom of the DVD player so they are not legally accountable. That means that if you have glasses, the laser is invisible and will go right into your eye, amplified, and damage it. I don't know about you but i don't want radiation in my eyes, I'm getting rid of this junk.
Great sound and image! December 1, 2008 The price is right and this DVD player is easy to use and set-up. The buttons are easy to reach and self-explanatory. The image is large and clear and the sound can be turned up pretty loud. There was a slight distortion in claritiy if it was too loud, but all-in-all, this is a great DVD player. The only thing I would like better is if they sold this as a dual screen set so they can be mounted on the back of the headrest (when traveling in the car). Kept the kids entertained during a 5 hour trip, making for a more enjoyable ride!
Great Product! December 1, 2008 I bought this for my 3 year old to use in the car for long trips mostly. We took a 11 hour drive the first week that we had it. I chose this one because it had the longest battery life without charging that I could find. It held up so well on our trip. The picture is wonderful, very crisp. Sound quality is great, with or without headphones. I would recommend this one for sure.
Best Picture Quality November 30, 2008 I had bought this DVD player for my daughter for our long road trips. The higher definition picture quality is the best compared to the many portable DVD players out there. The sound quality is average not having much bass at all. The online menu is intuitive and easy to use. The 6 hour battery life is a plus for the long road trips plus it comes with a charger for use in the car. Overall you get alot of value for the price.
recent dvd purchase November 30, 2008 the product is of great quality and value. amazon is a good place to shop. the unit arrived on time as promised.
