Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers September 23, 2008 This is a thick book that can be used as a reference guide when processing pictures in Elements 6 software. The chapters are short and to the point for each subject. There are many problems listed with step by step help in solving them. When doing picture processing one doesn't want to spend processing time with lengthy reading of instructions, and this book is short and sweet for each solution needed.
Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers September 23, 2008 Excellent Book A great hands on help for using photoshop elements. Found it was better than the "help" tab. I found the layout and the examples clear and easy to follow. This book was recommended by our instructor at a photoshop workshop class. After reading and starting to use it, I can see why. There is so much in this book. All the tips and tricks. Years of use packed into one book. A must have for anyone using photoshop.
Excellent Reference September 15, 2008 What I like about Scott Kelby's books is that he gives you the information you need, in concise language, with a dash of humor. Photoshop Elements can be overwhelming to the beginner. With this book, you will have the ability to do what you want to your photos. Each step is explained in detail, with example photographs. I absolutely recommend this book for anyone using Photoshop Elements 6.
Great way to understand Photoshop Elements 6 September 15, 2008 I was very upset when I bought Elements 6 and there were only online directions. I didn't like having to flip back and forth to the online screen. I am the type that needs to look at instructions in a book in front of me while I am trying to figure out how to do something. This book is just what I needed. It has easy to follow step by step instructions with pictures. Because of the before and after pictures of the photos, I was able to flip thru and see photos that had effects that I might want to use. I have another of Scot Kelby's books also. I have had lots of fun learning new tecniques. I highly recommend this book and also his other books on digital photography.
Elements is tough but terrific September 6, 2008 The things you can do with Photoshop Elements are amazing, but it takes a while to learn. You can fine-tune good pictures, save badly exposed pictures, restore old pictures, create works of art with your pictures, or create works of art from scratch. The best way to learn Elements is by doing projects of practical examples. Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski give you those projects in their book with project photographs available for downloading. One word of warning - Adobe has been bringing out a new version of Elements every year. Version 7 has just been announced. Although there are many similarities among versions, it is best to have the book that fits your version. I'm sure that a book for Version 7 will be forthcoming.
